Judaic Studies Philosophy

Torah Academy’s parents have entrusted us to educate each child in a Torah-true environment. It is a labor of love and one that we embrace at our core.

Our Judaic Studies curriculum centers around four common cores – derech eretz, middot, mitzvot and avodat Hashem – and develops concentrically out from there.

The early childhood’s strong foundation of Hebrew reading skills are cemented in kindergarten and a solid foundation of davening from a Siddur and learning from a Chumash begin in first and second grades.

Going forward – in third through eighth grades – critical thinking, core facts and textual skills are stressed in Chumash, Navi, Mishnah and Gemara. Our goal is to empower our students to continue learning Torah on their own, throughout their lives.
