Rabbi Mayer Rabinowitz

Rabbi Rabinowitz has taught Judaic studies in numerous grade levels at Torah Academy for the past four years. He is a graduate of the Ner LeElef Teacher Training program in Jerusalem, Israel where he earned his teacher certification. His rabbinic ordination is from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. He currently teaches Judaic studies to 2nd/3rd grade and middle school students.


Rabbi Shaya Hauptman 

Rabbi Shaya Hauptman received his Rabbinic ordination from Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey.  He also earned his Bachelor’s of Talmudic law from the same college. Before moving to Jacksonville, Rabbi Hauptman was a member of a community adult learning center in Olney, Maryland.  He teaches the fourth and fifth grade Judaic classes at Torah Academy


Mrs. Henny Fisch

Mrs. Henny Fisch is a native of Monsey, New York and lived in Israel for four years, where she ran a preschool in her home. She earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Thomas Edison University and her Master’s degree in special education from Long Island University. She currently teaches preschool and the VPK class.

Mrs. Orit Kaiser

Mrs. Orit Kaiser is the founding principal of Torah Academy of Jacksonville, where she now serves as the Kindergarten and First Grade Judaic teacher. Orit has 17 years of teaching experience, ranging from kindergarten to adult education and including almost everything in-between. She has operated a remedial classroom and an after-school learning program for elementary and high school students. She has taught in both Hebrew- and English-speaking classrooms.

Orit has a bachelor's degree in social science with an emphasis on psychology and education. She has a diploma in Montessori education, a Torah Umesorah teacher's license, and a teacher's certificate from Bnos Chava Seminary in Israel.


Mrs. Ragen Shapiro

Mrs. Ragen Shapiro is a native of Jacksonville who finished her B.S. at the University of South Carolina. Ms. Shapiro has been in education for six years as a Kindergarten teacher and an aide for pre-school children. This year, she is a team teacher for grades Kindergarten through Fifth.


 

Ms. Sarah Mitchell

Sarah Mitchell teaches the Kindergarten and first grade general studies classes at Torah Academy.  She graduated from Marist College in New York with a B.A. in Psychology and special/general education.  Ms. Mitchell taught for two years in Hawaii as a special and general education teacher.  She also taught in summer camps helping children ages 5-7 meet their educational needs. 

Torah Academy is excited about this addition to its staff.  Her caring nature, classroom experience and enthusiasm for teaching are great assets for her students.   


Mrs. Kimberly Keith

Mrs. Kimberly Keith earned her Bachelor’s Degree from University of North Carolina Wilmington in Middle School Education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Teaching with an emphasis on technology from Webster’s University. Her six years of teaching in Hawaii and North Carolina gives her a diverse experience. Mrs. Keith teaches the sixth, seventh and eighth grade at Torah Academy.



 

 

Ms. Hope Kulish

Hope Kulish teaches the second and third grade general studies classes as well as the computer classes for Kindergarten through fifth grade students.  She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Jacksonville University.  Her Bachelor’s degree is in Computer Information Management and her Master’s degree is in Education.  Currently, she is certified to teach Elementary, Middle school, computers, business and special needs students. 

Her focus on respecting other and understanding the classroom environment is key for students this age.  She is bringing them together so they can work more productively as a team and independently.
